after a month-and-a-half hiatus i've returned. it was a spiritual cleansing stint mixed with some laziness and a couple shots of depression but... i'll be here to write more random shit again.
on kitchens: nothing irks me more than a poorly-designed kitchen. white walls are not allowed - get some fucking color in there. dark wood cabinets? no. lightness is required. a lot of new houses have cheap light-colored wood cabinets with gold little knobs. no way. kitchen utensils and tools (knives, graters, pots/pans) are mostly stainless steel, which is silver-colored, which clashes with damn gold/bronze stuff. get silver fixtures. if your kitchen says "German knick-knacks and dusty country flair" you should torch it and start over. i'm saying southwest/urban-elite stuff, bright colors and cleanliness. on telling bingo DJ's to die: i have this buddy who once yelled at a bingo DJ to "drink poison and die!" it was the worst kind of heckling i've ever seen: the kind with a mixed reaction. there were undeniably a few folks in the bar (i'm talking about drunk bingo) that told us to bring our wasted friend home and get the hell out of there. but there were other people, women, who egged my buddy on and encouraged it. things went rather gracefully until he ran out of well-spoken banter and randomly yelled "DIE!!!" in the dj's direction between sips of his beer. on gay dance clubs: i'm straight, but these places will always have the best dance music, the easiest-to-approach female crowd, and most-manipulation-prone bartenders. with my rather constant attendance to normal bars with rowdy or otherwise straight friends, it's groovy to mix it up once in a while and transcend that bullshit that other people can't handle. ahhh... felt good to write about some stupid topics again. for now, i'm in the library studying again for my property II class. i have contracts II after that, but already spoke in that class on monday (hence no stress about being dragged into the spotlight again). reading, reading, reading until 4:30/5, then more work, then cleaning house tonight. meanwhile, check out the book and crazy air rifle on my dream list. today's focus: free subway food tonight, ensured insanity at happy hour tomorrow, visiting AZ?
